How To: Apply "Tight" Liquid Eyeliner

"Tight liner" is when you apply liner to the water line of your eyelid not on top of the eyelid. Here we show you how to apply this everyday look.

Step 1 Prep

Apply all of your makeup except your eye liner and mascara.

Step 2 Top lid

Begin at the inner corner, under the lash line on the wet part of the lid. Use short, gentle strokes.

Example: CoverGirl Line Exact in brown

Step 3 Lower lid

Do the same on the lower lid. Repeat, again, taking care to get between the lash line and the eye.

Step 4 Lashes

Add mascara.
