How to Create a dark Victorian Gothic circus girl makeup look for Halloween

It's funny to us that so many Victorian makeup looks done for Halloween emphasize heavy, dead makeup with lots of deep plums and reds because the Victorians wore little to no makeup (women were basically considered whores if they wore rouge).

But we do love how authentically creepy and aged (yet beautiful!) this Victorian Gothic circus girl looks. A Gothic look with a cirque twist, this look is mostly black on black, with a very deathly result.
