Oily skin can make your makeup smear, disappear, and look greasy. Our celebrity makeup artist, Deborah Altizio, shows you how to apply makeup to oily skin in this video.
Step 1 Primer
Use an oil-free primer to prep your face.
Example: CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer
Step 2 Foundation
Use a mattifying foundation and apply to your t-zone and other oily areas with a foundation brush.
Example: CoverGirl Clean Oil Control Foundation
Step 3 Blend
Blend the foundation into the rest of your face.
Step 4 Set
Set your makeup with a powder using a brush or a puff.
Example: CoverGirl Professional Loose Powder
Step 5 Waterproof concealer
Apply waterproof concealer under your eyes with a concealer brush.
Step 6 Creamy concealer
Use a small amount of a creamy concealer on blemishes.
Example: CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Concealer
Step 7 Eyeshadow
First use an eyeshadow primer. Then use a long lasting cream eyeshadow and go over with a powder shadow for staying power.
Example: CoverGirl SmokyShadowBlast & CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Shadow Palettes
Step 8 Mascara
Apply waterproof mascara.
Example: CoverGirl LashBlastLength Waterproof Mascara
Step 9 Blush
Use a cheek stain which is ideal for oily skin as it won't move around once applied.
Example: CoverGirl OutLast Lip Stain
Step 10 Lip stain
Use a lip stain on your lips.
